Taught by CCB Artistic Directors, Wendy Fish-Lawrence and David Lawrence. this intensive program gives dedicated students the opportunity to continue their training and improve their dancing and performing skills over the summer. Students will work closely with the Directors in daily classes to improve their technique and in rehearsals to prepare for the performance piece to be presented at the end of the week.
DATES & TIMES:
The intensive will run Monday June 10 through Friday July 14 from 10:00am to 3:00pm each day.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP:
Dancers should arrive a bit early to allow for time to get into the studio and get ready for class.
DRESS CODE:
-Girls must wear pink, footed tights with a solid color leotard and pink ballet slippers.
-Girls hair should be up and neatly secured in a bun at all times during class.
-Dancers may bring leg warmers, t-shirts, shorts and sweat pants for warm-up and between classes but may not wear those items in class.
BRING EACH DAY:
-Ballet slippers and pointe shoes (if you dance on pointe)
-Water bottle – The studio gets quite warm in summer and we want you all to stay hydrated. We also have bottles of water available for purchase for $1.
-A healthy lunch – students my use the refrigerator to store lunches and may use the microwave for heating lunches if needed.
FINAL SHOWING:
There will be a final in-studio showing held on Friday, July 14 at 2:30pm. All students will perform a classical repertory piece that will be studied during our week. Families and friends are warmly invited to attend.
We will be discussing what your dancer needs to wear for the final showing during the week and will send home information.
