All CCB ballet students are invited to participate in the Nutcracker.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 16th, at our Manchester studios!
Students who wish to perform are REQUIRED to attend Auditions.
Level 3 and Level 4/5 Nutcracker auditions sometimes include a guest adjudicator, as well as Callback Auditions for some dancers, if necessary. Dancers will be notified at the end of regular auditions if we would like them to come to Callbacks.
All dancers wishing to perform MUST fill out an online Nutcracker Audition form and pay a $50 Nutcracker Performance Fee. The Nutcracker Performance Fee will be automatically charged to your family account on September 16th. This fee offsets costs related to costume creation/alteration, rehearsals and performance administration, and also provides each family with a link to a digital video recording of the production.
You will find more important information about rehearsals, parent observation, costume fitting and more on our Nutcracker Information page.
The cast list will be posted on Saturday September 23.

-Arrive a little early so that you are not rushing at the exact time your audition is scheduled to begin.
-Wear your correct CCB uniform attire, with your hair in a bun, just as if you were coming to ballet class.
-Have fun at auditions and don’t worry or be scared! Casting for The Nutcracker is based on many factors, including class level, age, height, ability and personality to name a few. Auditions enable the directors to see all the dancers together (something that rarely happens). It is a great way to start our Nutcracker season as a group and is the way casting is done for dance pieces all over the world!
