All CCB ballet students are invited to participate in the Nutcracker.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 14th, at our Manchester studios!
Students who wish to perform are REQUIRED to attend Auditions.
Level 3 and Level 4/5 Nutcracker auditions sometimes include a guest adjudicator, as well as Callback Auditions for some dancers, if necessary. Dancers will be notified at the end of regular auditions if we would like them to come to Callbacks.
Dancers MUST fill out an online Nutcracker Audition form and pay a $35 Nutcracker Performance Fee on or before audition day.
Please read ALL information on the Nutcracker Auditions page PRIOR TO filling out this form!
You may pay your Nutcracker Performance Fee online here (along with a small processing fee) or you may wait until you receive your confirmation email after filling out your Nutcracker Audition form.
This fee MUST be paid prior to your Nutcracker Audition!
The cast list will be posted on the Manchester bulletin board on Saturday September 21. It will be emailed to all families on Sunday September 22.
11:45 am-12:15 pm
*ATTN: Some Level 3. 4 or 5 students may be asked to attend the following Callback Audition:
-Arrive a little early. There are many people in the building and it can be crowded and a little confusing. Try not to be rushing in the door at the exact time your audition is scheduled to begin.
-Wear your correct classroom attire (ABT uniform leotard), with your hair in a bun, just as if you were coming to ballet class.
-Have fun at auditions and don’t worry or be scared! Casting for The Nutcracker is based on many factors, including class level, age, height, ability and personality to name a few. Auditions enable the directors to see all the dancers together (something that rarely happens). It is a great way to start our Nutcracker season as a group and is the way casting is done for dance pieces all over the world!
