CT Classic Competitor Information

Rehearsal/Coaching Schedule

We are thrilled to have you representing Connecticut Concert Ballet as a competitor at The Connecticut Classic Ballet Scholarship Competition. 

COMPETITION INFO:

The Classic is a two-day event which includes master classes on Saturday March 25 and the competition on Sunday March 26 at The Warner Theater in Torrington, CT. Dancers compete by performing a classical variation (solo) chosen from a list of approved repertoire.

-The Classic fees are as follows: 
All fees include the Master Classes
$200 — 1 Variation
$275 — 2 Variations

PARTICIPATION:

-The CCB Participation/Coaching fee is $300

Participation/coaching will include the following:

• 1 private 60-minute coaching session to select and teach you your variation.
• Weekly combined competition rehearsals beginning January 21 and continuing up until the competition.
• All music purchase fees, editing and submission to the competition.
• Headshot photo session, editing and submission to the competition.
• Costume selection assistance.
• Guidance and support on the competition day.

*Additional private coaching for your variation is also available. The fee is $35 per half hour/$70 per hour. We are happy to schedule additional privates throughout the season. 

The Participation/Coaching fee can be made through Venmo (@WendyFishLawrence) or with cash or check (made payable to Wendy Fish-Lawrence).

COSTUMES:

We will be working with each competitor to find the best costume. For many dancers, we may use costumes from our CCB wardrobe department. For some, we may suggest purchasing a tutu, which we will assist with. If you wear a CCB costume, there will be a $50 Costume Alteration Fee (per costume).
